Live Shows With Tony and Nili

Nili Brosh Tony MacAlpine LiveIf you’re a fan of Tony Macalpine (See our interview here) or Nili Brosh, you’re in luck – you can catch them playing together live, which hasn’t happened since they toured Europe together back in 2012 supporting Tony’s self-titled album.

The tour dates will all be for folks who are in or will be in the California area:

March 7th – Ramona Mainstage, Ramona, CA

March 8th – Lob Bar, Baja, Ca

March 14th – Alva’s Showroom, San Pedro, CA

Tony had this to say to the Guitar-Muse readers, regarding the upcoming gigs:

“I am looking forward to playing some shows and performing some of the new music from my up and coming release “Concrete Gardens”. I will be returning with Nili Brosh (guitar), Bjorn Englen (bass), and Sammy “the bull” Aliano (drums). Its going to be heavy, loud, and powerful!”

We also caught up with Nili, and she says she’s thrilled to be a part of the upcoming shows:

“After a long hiatus, I could not be more excited that Tony’s band is gigging again. We’ll be playing a very special set that includes Tony’s classic debut album “Edge of Insanity” in its entirety, some fan favorites, as well as three brand new songs from his upcoming record, never previously played live. The lineup features Sam Aliano on drums, Bjorn Englen on bass, and I am very honored to resume my role of second guitar. This has always been a very special gig for me, and I am committed and determined to do this set more justice than ever. If you are in southern California, I hope you come out and hang out with us. We can’t wait to play for you!”

New Albums Soon

As if a live date isn’t enough to get excited about, there’s more to look forward to, because Tony and Nili both are wrapping up the final details on their respective new albums.

Tony’s album is said to be a bit heavier than the last one, but it won’t disappoint fans from a musical perspective, it’ll feature much of the style we loved so much about his last album. The core band is Aquiles Priester on drums, and Pete Griffin on bass, and, as usual, Tony doing a bit of everything – I’m sure we can expect to hear plenty of his keyboard work. We’ll also be treated to a few special guests, one we know of thus-far is Jeff Loomis (Nevermore). For more information on that, keep an eye on Tony’s website.

Nili’s album is really going to make her fans happy as well. It’s everything we’d expect from such a talented musician and more – we’ve had the chance to hear a few of the tunes on this album, she’s really laid out some incredible songs and brilliant guitar work for her second album. This album is estimated to be released in late spring or early summer of 2014.

Video

I’m going to close with this video, because it’s just plain amazing, and just might be a taste of what you’ll get to experience if you can make it out to one of the shows in Southern California in the next few days.
