Image Gallery: Women And Guitars In Ads

We’ve all heard it said before – sex sells.

Apparently it also sells guitars. Or does it?

Could a beautiful woman wrapped around a guitar actually make you want the guitar? Or is it meant to simply grab your attention and look a little closer? If the woman looks too good, does the guitar look worse in comparison?

Interestingly, when we went off in search for evidence of women being used to sell guitars, the results were relatively few.

Obviously Dean Guitars holds the record for this type of advertising, and have for quite some time.

Here is a gallery of some of the notable ads we’ve found where women have selflessly donated their visage to the science of guitar selling. Have fun.
