The original comments:

‘‘We’re really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we’ve been writing is really good, It’s more back to the old original stuff.’’

And then later:

“I’m saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Black Sabbath reunion”

Well, now Ozzy has joined the rumor mill, telling Billboard:

“Yes, it’s a very, very strong possibility, It’s in the very early stages, so we haven’t recorded anything yet. If it works out, it’ll work out. If it doesn’t, I’ll keep doing my thing.”

So … what’s up then? I guess we’ll have to wait and see but by all accounts – even as Tony was upset with the journalist from the British paper, he never actually denied the rumors, nor did Ozzy.

I think it’s past the point of rumor, and more to the point where the members involved are all on board and just trying to determine if it will work out or not.

“Black Sabbath”,  the band’s first album, was released on Friday the 13th, in February of 1970 … that’s 41 years ago. It certainly would be a monumental and amazing reunion.

Here’s some video from that same year – Paris, 1970
