The official video for Opeth’s “The Devil’s Orchard” off of their new album Heritage and you can watch it right here. How convenient.
Handy if you’re looking for a sample of the album before you splurge or if you just dig cool pictures with music.
Opeth have clearly taken their 70s influence every bit into the visual department as they have music is what with the dirty film effects and filters. The video is rife with elements that add to the story told by the song.
“The Devil’s Orchard” looks more like a six and a half minute trailer for a 70s horror B-movie. You know. Something like The Trip, but less on the drug influence and more on the surreal aspect of The Dunwich Horror or The Omen or something like that.
Regardless of what crappy B-movie you liken the visual style to, “The Devil’s Orchard” is a pretty cool video, so give it a whirl.
