Oz Noy on Oscar’s Guitar Shop
The Interview
“When I studied jazz growing up I got deeply into bebop and Thelonius Monk is a big part of the bebop vocabulary,” Noy commented on his Thelonius Monk influence, “that’s why I always liked Monk’s music because I can kind of… it gives me the space to put my own twist on it.”
And later when discussing gear and pedals he responded with:
“It looks like I have a lot of pedals on my pedal board, my basic sound is really just the amp turned up loud to the sweet spot and then usually one booster to boost the sound and a little bit of delay.”
