Update On Orianthi And Alice Cooper – Tour and Jay Leno Friday

Read Time 1 Minutes

The other day, we shared the news about Orianthi Joining Alice Cooper’s band, once it was “confirmed” with a tweet from Orianthi herself.

We promised a little more detail, so here it is.

As we know, Alice Cooper’s guitarist, Damon Johnson left the band – and Orianthi was the replacement. She’ll be with the legendary act as the next leg of the tour begins – September 22nd.

Alice and Orianthi will be visiting almost 100 cities over the next few months, in Europe and North America.

Alice Cooper always has a way with words, and his comments on Orianthi joining his army were no different:

“It’s very difficult to find someone to match the talents of Damon Johnson, but not only did we find someone who is more than up to the challenge…she also looks WAY better.” – (alicecooper.com)

Orianthi Stated:

“I’m super excited to go on tour with Alice, It’s a huge honor to be able to get on stage and jam with an icon.” – (alicecooper.com)

It’s true, Orianthi. The only icons most of us get to play with are on our desktop.

If you can’t wait to see this incarnation of Alice’s band, you can catch Orianthi and Cooper on Jay Leno on Friday (Sept. 9th, 2011)
