Bringing Metal to the Children: The Complete Berserker’s Guide to World Tour Domination is a book that is probably not as geared towards children as the name would imply. Rather it’s a detailed look into what touring with metal heads is like as the book fearlessly goes into Tucker Max mode and indulges in gruesome tales of delirium induced by copious proportions of alcohol.

But before you get too far into the book you’re forced to test your metal medal with a “True Rocker Test” that pits you against a 10 question test that ultimately determines your worthiness or predicted tolerance for the extremity of the hilarity to ensue. Aside from just talking about how much beer it takes to induce vomiting Wylde and co-author Eric Hendrikx discuss the many aspects of life as a touring musician from the formality and trade secrets of the business to etiquette, to concert preparation, to surviving a tour without killing your bandmates with your body odor.

Bringing Metal to the Children will be in paperback will offer stories of Wylde’s experiences on the road with an array of rockers and metal heads alike including Rob Zombie, Van Halen, Dimebag Darrell, Lars Ulrich, and a handful of professional wrestlers. It’s as much a biography for entertainment purposes as it is a tome of insight from a seasoned veteran who can offer his mentoring to budding musicians looking to get into the industry.
